Diagnosis Examination

Soil Science Major Department of Agronomy

The Department requires those who plan to enter a Soil Science major at Iowa State University to take the Diagnostic Examination. This examination is intended to aid you and your major professor in assessing your current working knowledge in soil science as you enter Iowa State University. The questions come from undergraduate courses taught at I.S.U., but have been screened to remove reference to specific Iowa conditions. The results from this examination will be shared with you, your major professor, and the Department Head.

The Department will send the student a letter telling of the time and place of the examination. This normally takes place the Thursday evening before classes start fall and spring semesters.

Current Committee Membership (2004): T. Loynachan (chair), Laird, Tabatabai
