Diversity

The Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University seeks to increase its minority enrollment. We understand that a diverse student body benefits all in the Department. Efforts to increase recruitment and retention of minority students are also underway at the University and College of Agriculture levels. The Graduate College has established a Graduate Minority Assistantship Program and the George Washington Carver Doctoral Fellowship to attract qualified minority students. It is the intent of the Department and University to provide a welcoming environment for all. George Washington Carver graduated from Iowa State University and later established a legendary career at Tuskegee University. As a graduate of the Department of Agronomy at Iowa State University, your education and our international reputation may help you achieve your career goals.
