Maize Transformation Workshop 2003

The 3.5 day maize transformation workshop sponsored by the National Science Foundation in March of 2003 provided researchers from around the world with hands on experience in Agrobacterium-mediated and biolistic-mediated transformation of maize, embryo dissection, type II callus initiation, transgenic callus selection, regeneration, greenhouse care, and transgenic plant analysis. The workshops also included a mini-symposium with talks from world renowned scientists in plant transformation, transgene silencing, gene transfer and integration, and much more.
